“In your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Psalm 16:11 ESV
To our partners in the gospel, family and friends,
A warm hello from our family. These days, more than ever, we are yearning to exalt Jesus and leverage all that we are for His namesake among the nations. Indeed, we are in a war against the spiritual forces of evil, yet our King is upon the throne, calling us into deeper fellowship and surrender. What profound joy is found in our kneeling before the great I AM and once again, pledging Him our allegiance and devotion. We pray that wherever this email finds you, you too may be brought to a moment of joy by entering into His presence, surrendering all.
We’re excited to share news and some praise reports from the field. In this quarterly update you’ll hear about:

YWAM Trang Staff Team Growing
Thank you for your continued prayers and support which play an irreplaceable role in the work God is doing here.
Ethan Joins Eldership Team
Ethan has been asked to join YWAM Trang’s eldership team, and has given his “yes.” He was surrounded by our team today as we laid hands and asked for the Lord to anoint and empower Him for this new role of serving and shepherding the base ministry and our growing staff team. We are honored to continue to lay our lives down that multitudes of others may come to know and worship Christ. Ethan and I have committed to serve in this role as elders for the next seven years. We ask for your prayers that we may be given the grace, wisdom and faithfulness necessary to lead and steward this base according to the will of the Lord.
Discipleship Training School (DTS) Recap
After seven months, our first DTS has
graduated! We witnessed God draw these students closer to Him, bring lasting transformation and instill a passion for making Him known to others, especially those who have never heard. Each student is now on their way to pursuing further missions work! Below is an interview with our students as they reflect on their DTS.
Photos from DTS Graduation:
Below are moments from our DTS outreach to the Middle East where we partnered with existing ministries and local pastors to engage one of the largest frontier people groups in this region. We served through english club, kids ministry, and house visits to encourage the believers. More than anything, we did evangelism, sharing the Good News with so many people who have never heard the name of Jesus before. Much work remains to be done across this region where less than 0.1% of the population is Christian.
Co-leading the Next Discipleship Training School (DTS)
“As the DTS goes, so goes the mission.” This statement made by the co-founder of YWAM both excites and humbles us as we prepare to co-lead the next DTS at YWAM Trang. DTS is the backbone, the heartbeat, the DNA of the missions movement that is YWAM. It is the training ground and launchpad for future missionaries to go out into the nations and make God known. We see leading this school as an honor and priviledge, but one that carries much responsibility! Preparing to host, disciple, train and send out yet another group of world changers will be one of our main focuses for the coming season.
Hosting Teams
While we were on outreach in the Middle East, our team back in Thailand was busy hosting many short-term outreaches. Teams come alongside us and serve in many ways: English camps in Buddhist schools where we are able to share the gospel, local evangelism, partnering with local churches and doing service projects for neighbors. Below are some fun pictures from some of those English camps! We have the privilege of equipping these young children with the practical and increasingly beneficial life skill of speaking English while pouring out the love of Christ in both word and deed. You can see their smiles as they play and learn!
Our Growing Team
Our staff team here at YWAM Trang is growing as God calls more young people to serve Him in the nations! Last year we welcomed two new staff and this year we have welcomed two more. Three of our staff are also pregnant, so we’ll add three babies to the crew this year, praise God. Here is a picture of our staff team all together from last week. ❤️
